Insurance company bullying/steering
Insurance companies lead you to believe that you have to choose one of their "Direct Repair Centers" to have your vehicle repaired. It is State law that you can choose your own repair facility and your insurance company is required to pay the bill. See for yourself below in the Pennsylvania vehicle damage appraisers act
62.3. Applicable standards for appraisal
(4) If the consumer receives information from the insurer, the information shall include disclosure that there is no requirement to use any specified repair shop.
"If you use a shop of your choice it will take longer and you will have to pay out of pocket expenses"
Below is directly from the Pennsylvania vehicle damage appraisers act. This states that they are to write an estimate that reflects paying all of the cost involved in bringing your vehicle back to a predamaged state. For no reason would it take any longer to have your vehicle repaired at Greater Pittsburgh Collision Works. We have a super refined process that eliminates any possible downtime.
62.3. Applicable standards for appraisal.
(5) A description of repairs, known at the time of appraisal, necessary to return the vehicle to its predamaged condition, including labor involved, cost of all parts, necessary painting or refinishing and all sublet work to be done
"There will be no warranty on the repairs if you do not take it to one of our certified repair shops"
The insurance company often times will tell you that they will not warranty the repairs if you take your car to a shop of your choice. Greater Pittsburgh Collision Works provides you a LIFETIME warranty on all of our craftsmanship and we back the same warranty on parts and corrosion that the OEM part manufacturers stand by.
After a large Pa. doe decided to cause approx $7500.00 damage to my 2016 F-150, I was told Greater Pittsburgh Collision Works was the best in the area for body work, having certified techs on aluminum & separate bays for this work. They exceeded my expectations! Thank you for your professionalism, understanding, & attention to detail. Nick Troyer, Linda Price, & your entire team. They kept me updated on the repairs & involvement with my insurance company. My truck looks (& rides) the same as when I drove it brand new off the lot. Check this place out & don’t always go with those insurance “recommended” shops. 5 Stars & 2 thumbs up!

Wonderful people, always kind and excellent at keeping me up to date on what was going on with my car during the repair process. Car was clean and in order when I received it back. Will be returning for some paint touch ups. Bonus was seeing all the awesome cars in the lot. I knew my Jetta would be in good hands. Thanks guys!!

This is truly an amazing place - I had my new Porsche 911 for two weeks until a piece of construction equipment on the turnpike ran me into the guard rail - talk about being sick!
Mark and Nick and everyone who works at Greater Pittsburgh Collision Works have to be the best at the craft in the United States-- they really help me through this stressful time and gave me back a car that is newer than new - it really feels handmade to me now in fact it practically is! Don't waste your time even talking to anyone else!

This is an intense repair to an all aluminum Audi A8. This car is built so incredibly strong. Would you want a non factory certified shop doing this repair to your Audi? When this was finished, there was no sign a repair was done.
